At Faith Tales, your family's privacy is sacred to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password (securely hashed) when you create an account.
• Child profile details: The name, age, favorite animal, color, interests, personality, and faith values you choose to provide so we can personalize stories.
• Payment information: Processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as which stories were opened, to help us improve the Service.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate and deliver personalized, faith-filled stories, verses, and prayers each evening.
• To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
• To send you service-related emails (such as your nightly story and trial reminders).
• To improve the safety, quality, and reliability of the Service.

AI Processing

To create each story, the details in your child's profile (such as first name, age, and interests) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude API), to generate the story text. Anthropic processes this data solely to return a story and, per their API terms, does not use API inputs or outputs to train their models. We do not send payment details or login credentials to the AI provider. Please avoid including sensitive information beyond what is needed to personalize a story.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Faith Tales is intended to be used by adults on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or interact directly with the Service. A parent or legal guardian provides all child information and controls the account. You may review, edit, or delete your child's information at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us.

Data Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate Faith Tales (such as our hosting, email, AI, and payment partners), and only to the extent necessary to provide the Service. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention & Your Rights

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing Help@faithtales.io. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website.
